Once you walk through the door at West Stride – what can you expect?
We think finding the perfect fit involves more than just picking a shoe. We learn about you and your goals, analyze your stride, find the best fit in a running shoe AND make sure you have all the other important essentials you need to make your running, walking or fitness routine a success! We love for you to ask questions, share information about your activity level and goals, show us your stride, and give us your feedback throughout the process!
Our key services include our Stride Consult (a full gait analysis and shoe fitting), Stride Essentials (a diverse array of gear and apparel for a variety of needs) and Women’s Corner (personal sports bra fittings).
After you get the right shoe fit, it’s time to gear up on Stride Essentials!
Tell us about your activity and goals! We want to help you find a shoe that will perform exceptionally for whatever activity you’re pursuing.
Show us your stride! We want to ensure that each shoe is appropriate for YOUR unique biomechanics. We assess the shape of your feet, use a dual-camera treadmill analysis to see the degree of flexibility in your foot, ankle and lower leg, and look at your overall form. Not comfortable on a treadmill? No problem! We can assess your gait by watching you run in-store as well.
Look for the fit factors! Are your shoes large enough to accommodate foot splay and the natural swelling that occurs during the course of exercise? Is there an appropriate amount of space between toes and front of shoe? How securely is the shoe clutching the heel? This is where we can use our expertise to see how the shoe fits on your unique foot and ensure we find your perfect fit. Often the most important service we provide is simply making sure you’re wearing the correct size!

Love the look! This factor comes into play only when we’ve found the best mix of Function, Fit and Feel. Even though it’s the least important of the Four “F’s” we know that when you look good, you feel good and we stock a variety of colors in most of our footwear styles.
