Join West Stride for a fun summer training series sponsored by New Balance! This series of 12 runs and workouts are designed to get you ready to run the Peachtree or any upcoming race. Coach Jonathan Bair of TrainATL will lead the series and guide you through speed, hills, strength and recovery runs. It’s a perfect way to kick off a summer of striding. Attend 1, 5 or all 12 of the runs! It’s a chance to have a great group to run and workout with. Plus, it’s a chance to implement key training principles – like speed, hill work, strength and more – into your routine.
Please note – this is not a full training program, but a series of runs and workouts that will be organized and led by West Stride and TrainATL. West Stride Wednesday runs are always free, but you have to be a registered Summer Strider to get access to the organized workouts and get the tee!
Registration Fee: $20 for access to 12 runs and workouts, led by Coach Jonathan Bair of TrainATL and West Stride staff. In addition, get a New Balance Summer Striding tech shirt, a celebration pizza party on July 5th and special New Balance discounts and prizes during the series.
Schedule:We kick it off with “Stride into Summer” open run and info session at 7:30am on Saturday, May 13th. The series officially begins on Wednesday, May 24th at West Stride. The runs will be on select Wednesdays and Saturdays, leading up to your July 4th race. The final run and celebration pizza party will be held July 5th at West Stride.
Location: West Stride Running Store will be the home base for most of the runs, but we will go to Red Brick Brewery for our usual end of month Wednesday runs and meet at TrainATL (2030 Powers Ferry Rd. Suite 440, Atlanta, Ga 30339) for 1 Saturday run. See below for full schedule.
